Lake Fontana Clean Up

We’re excited to share that the next Fontana CleanUp is happening Friday, Sept. 19th with students from Shining Rock. Like in past years, the Returning Shorelines to the Wild project will be a fun, hands-on day of cleaning up an area of the lake that is special to us—and a chance to be positive role models for young people learning the importance of caring for our environment.

This cleanup is also part of the Environmental Action Community’s ongoing plastic reduction efforts, removing harmful waste from shorelines and helping create a cleaner, healthier future for both people and wildlife.

We need enthusiastic volunteers to help in a variety of ways—whether you’d like to be on the water, on land, or behind the scenes, there’s a spot for you! Sign up on the spreadsheet or reply to this email.
